Product Information

Thank you for considering a Monument Light product.  If you do not see what you are looking for, please enquire.

All of the images on Monument Light have been digitally enhanced and cleaned to provide the best esthetic experience possible.  To learn more about this process, please see Lee's iBook Cleaning Mona Lisa

Basically, most oil paintings are protected with a thin layer of clear-coat varnish.  After a few decades that varnish not only yellows, but attracts a great deal of dust. Lee, to the best of his ability, restores the digital image to its original color. This detail of a Rembrandt portrait shows the painting as it exists in the museum and after Lee has digitally cleaned it.  If you would like to purchase a product with no digital editing, please specify, but it is this perfection of the image that distinquishes Monument Light from other image wholesalers.  To examine an actual product, please see Monument Light's The Agnew Clinic by Thomas Eakins.

Our products use the finest of archival inks, papers and mats to create not only a stunning product, but also one that will last through the decades.  While the canvas prints are roughly the sizes as listed, here are the specifications for the framed prints.

For our printer and inks, we chose:

We use Epson Stylus 9800 & 9900 Pro wide-format printers with 8-color ink technology and a variety of fine art papers designed for high quality art reproduction on a custom basis. These printers utilize an intricate spray process known as "Giclee" which allows for the detail of the original image to be transferred to print. The Epson UltraChrome K3 and HDR archival inks achieve superior color expression on a wide variety of media. With improved pigment density and a soft, uniform resin coating, sharp image reproduction can be accomplished, along with significant light and water resistance. Just as important as our technology is our expert printing team, educated and experienced in fine art printing and committed to producing superior quality results for our customers.
